2008 hope & grace Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands
In 2008, the signs of an exceptional vintage were all present in the Santa Lucia Highlands: warm days with cool nights, no rain and extended hang time for our exquisite Pinot Noir fruit. The harvest was one of the latest on record for the Santa Lucia Highlands– and definitely one of the best. We were able to harvest individual
clones such as Swan and 777 at each of their respective peaks and derive the
flavor profiles that we wanted from this variated harvest. Ultimately the end
result is an exceptionally well balanced, age-worthy Pinot Noir.
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of lush black cherry fruit and black currant lead the way, followed by notes of cola and intense cinnamon spice that envelop the senses. Juicy, red fruit glides across the palate, followed by a rich, silky and gratifying finish. This Pinot embodies deep extraction and concentration of flavor while maintaining excellent balance and mouth feel.
We excited to announce the release of our eighth vintage of pinot noir from the remarkable Santa Lucia Highlands.
