2014 hope & grace Dry Riesling, Oak Knoll, Napa Valley

Before Prohibition, Riesling was Napa Valley's dominant white variety, thanks to German immigrants like Charles Krug, Jacob Schram and Frederick Beringer, who planted the grapes they knew best. Riesling persisted in the valley when the wine industry emerged from Prohibition. Although many wine neophytes initially think of Riesling as being a sweet wine, we food & wine adventures know better ... Dry, dry drier! We consider Riesling to be a true aristocratic grape that will rival Chardonnay as a food pairing wine any day!
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of pear, apple and honey with notes of bergamot, mint and white pepper. Bright citrus fruit rushes the palate ...beautifully balanced, with a fresh, clean finish.
